The Music for Wellness Series comprises Music for Mindfulness and Music for Comfort, two research-informed projects that explore how music can support mental and emotional wellbeing. Developed with collaborators including Singapore Institute of Technology and Direct Funeral Services, the series integrates original Chinese instrumental music with therapeutic sound technologies such as binaural and monaural beats to create accessible listening experiences designed to promote relaxation, healing, and resilience.
TENG partners COPE as part of its latest Social Impact project, to equip young children in Singapore and around the world with fundamental survival skills in times of natural disasters and climate change. Working closely with the COPE team to turn their existing book series into animations with songs, the COPE project is yet another example of TENG pushing the boundaries of what music can do to help society.
TENG’s train chimes was developed in collaboration with SMRT Corporation to enhance the commuting experience of visually impaired individuals. Inspired by Singapore’s multicultural heritage, the melodies are drawn from traditional and familiar folk tunes with each melody representing a different train line to help commuters easily identify their route.
