Examinations for DSA Applicants

The Examinations for Direct School Admission (DSA) applicants are part of the Chinese Instrumental Music Grading Examinations, held for candidates who wish to apply to schools of their choice via DSA.

ELIGIBILITY

Only Primary 6 and Secondary 4/5 students in the same academic year can register for the Examinations.

INSTRUMENTS

The Examinations for DSA applicants cover the following instruments: Guzheng, Erhu, Dizi, Pipa, Yangqin, Ruan, Liuqin, Gaoyin Sheng, Zhongyin Sheng, Gaoyin Suona, Zhongyin Suona, Cello, Double Bass, Hulusi, Guanzi, Percussion and Guqin.

REGISTRATION

Registration is open from 9 March 2026 to 27 March 2026. Click here to register.

DATES OF EXAMINATIONS

The Examinations will be held physically, from 27 April 2026 to 8 May 2026. Candidates will be notified via email on the examination details by 10 April 2026.

The examination dates and/or times will be assigned at TENG’s discretion.

The dates and procedures relating to the Examinations is subject to change. In such an event, an official announcement will be made and candidates will be notified.

EXAMINATION VENUES

The Examinations will be conducted at Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre and/or other assigned venues.

WITHDRAWALS FROM THE EXAMINATIONS

There are no refunds for absentees or withdrawals submitted at any point of time.

RESULTS AND CERTIFICATES

Results and certificates will be posted to candidates by Singpost Local Tracked Mail Service from 20 May 2026.
