Chinese Instrumental Music Grading Examinations
Seminar Series 2025

The Chinese Instrumental Music Grading Examinations aims to promote the appreciation and education of Chinese music in Singapore since its inception in 2017. Being one of the leading examination boards in Singapore for Chinese instrumental music, the Examinations are conducted annually and have seen candidates from as young as 5 years old to senior citizens in their 70s.

The Examination Seminars consists of 4 sessions, featuring the popular Chinese instruments commonly seen in a standard Chinese Orchestra – Guzheng, Erhu, Dizi and Yangqin. The seminars invite audiences into the finer points of the Grading pieces, expounding on the various repertoire featured in the Examination’s syllabus.

This event is produced by The TENG Company, an Arts Tenant of Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre.

The Seminar Series will be conducted in Mandarin.
