Elaine Teo
Chairman
Elaine Teo is a Director of Mapletree Investments Pte Ltd, Capital International Funds Luxembourg, Clifford Capital Holdings and Clifford Capital Asset Management.
She was previously a Non-Executive and Independent Director of Olam International Ltd, GK Goh Holdings Ltd and Monde Nissin Corporation. Elaine chaired the Board Risk Committee at Olam International Ltd and the Corporate Governance, Nominations and Remunerations Committee at Monde Nissin Corporation. Elaine was a director of ICHX Tech and Mapletree Oakwood Pte Ltd, as well as a member of the International Advisory Panel of CIMB Group Holdings Berhad and Senior Advisor and Partner at Holdingham Group Ltd.
Prior to her work on the various boards, Elaine had some 20 years of public market investment experience - primarily with The Capital Group Companies where she focused on Asian banks and global emerging markets, both as an analyst and an investment manager. She was formerly the Chairman of Capital International Research Group and Managing Director of Capital International Inc., Asia.
In the non-profit arena, Elaine is currently Chairman of The TENG Ensemble – an arts company focused on the development of a Singapore musical identity, a member of the Governing Board of Duke-NUS Medical School, and a director of Asia Community Foundation, and Tsao Foundation. She also served on the board of Caregivers Alliance Ltd, a non-profit organisation focused on training and support of caregivers to persons with mental illness in Singapore, and previously a member of the International Development Group of the Jesuit Refugee Service.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Experimental Psychology from Oxford University.
