The TENG Ensemble Welcomes Five New Gen Z Musicians

Their Debut Music Video, an Evolution of Hits from BTS, is out NOW!

Singapore, 4 April 2022 – The TENG Ensemble (“TENG”) officially announces the addition of 5 new musicians to its roster. To provide a platform for astonishingly talented Gen Z instrumentalists and to inspire a younger generation of musicians and audiences, TENG demonstrates its ability to adapt to changing times and desire to support local talent.  These new musicians are featured on TENG’s newest music video, entitled Evolution of BTS - an amalgam of hits from the internationally acclaimed Korean-pop group, BTS. The music video was released on The TENG Company’s website, Facebook and Instagram pages on 2 April 2022 (Sat) at 12pm.

Dr. Samuel Wong, Creative Director of The TENG Company said, “Our latest five young virtuoso additions to The TENG Ensemble showcase The TENG Company’s commitment to nurturing and growing the next generation of Singaporean musicians. Our musicians are the backbone of our ensemble and we will continue to champion music with a distinctive Singaporean identity that merges East and West, old and new.”.

These new musicians come from a variety of musical backgrounds and local institutions including Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, School of the Arts, Singapore National Youth Chinese Orchestra, and Singapore Polytechnic (formerly Diploma in Music & Audio Technology, now known as Media, Arts & Design). In their debut video, listeners can expect familiar excerpts from hits like I Need U, Blood Sweat & Tears, Butter and more.
