Experience and learn about the enchanting world of Guzheng music in The TENG Company’s inaugural TENG Recital Series. Directed by Johnny Chia from The TENG Ensemble, 溯•筝 Transcendence will feature The TENG Ensemble’s Sim Kee, Mapletree-TENG scholars Juliette Goh and Athena Hong, and eight other outstanding Guzheng high scorers from the Chinese Instrumental Music Grading Examinations.

The Recital Series concert will take audiences through the different chapters of Guzheng works and will comprise of both solo and ensemble performances to showcase the characteristics of each chapter. Discover the soulful melodies of Henang Zheng and the harmonies of the Chaozhou Zheng in the Traditional Chapter, experience favourites like Fighting Against The Typhoon《战台风》in the Classic Chapter, and finally embrace the cutting-edge sounds of new works like As Thus《如是》in the Contemporary Chapter.
