Carol Lee

Carol Lee is currently the Head, Philanthropy and Grants of the Tan Chin Tuan Foundation. The foundation focuses on empowering the community through life-long learning in education and community development in various causes. 

Carol has more than 15 years in nurturing young minds in the Ministry of Education before joining the social service sector. She has helmed the Music Department in Concord Primary School and was integral to the school’s choir winning the highest accolades in Singapore Youth Festival Central Judging and various international choral competitions. Notable public performances include the Singapore F1 Race, Sun Yat Sen 100th Anniversary Opening Ceremony, Hong Kong Disneyland Christmas Concert and the Voices of Asia Conference.

In the social service sector, she has held key management roles in various social service agencies like Club Rainbow (Singapore), Autism Resource Centre (Singapore) and Mercy Relief, assisting children with chronic illnesses, persons with special needs and survivors of natural disasters. As the Executive Director of Mercy Relief, she was responsible for providing emergency aid within 72 hours in the aftermath of a disaster and played a key role in post-disaster recovery projects. Her other roles entailed leadership, governance, marketing, fundraising and stakeholder management.

Carol has a passion for serving vulnerable communities, particularly in education and children causes. She hopes that collaborations between the public, private and people sector would maximise the impact for greater societal good.
